Pesto the penguin is a 9-month-old penguin who lives in Sea Life in Melbourne, Australia. When he was born, there was nothing special about him, but as months went by, Pesto grew and grew until there was no denying he was one special boy. Weighing 49 lbs (22 Kilograms) Pesto broke records for being the heaviest penguin chick born in captivity. He is larger than both his parents combined, and he eats more than any other penguin in the entire aquarium.

Once news of Pesto traveled from Australia to the rest of the world, he quickly became an internet sensation and a downright social media star. People are mesmerized by Pesto's story and journey, as every day more and more visitors in the aquarium post pictures and videos and even a gender reveal of the massive king Pesto.
